Clan History

=]IGC[= In Good Company Clan has a history dating back seven years over various types of gaming with numerous members of all ages. It all started with Medal of Honor and the creation of the [LRRP] Clan by our original founding father GoA. Slimer. He wanted to create a well structured and organised clan, based on a military rank structure, that would still provide a fun and friendly gaming atmosphere.

GoA set about recruiting on various servers and was soon joined by the likes of Kill-Roid, Whitewolf, Cleanjoe, N'stag8er, Strobe and Udead$ucka to name a few. With no website or ventrillo, they played together both for fun, and in competition on various ladders. All communication had to be done solely through ingame chat, which was quite a task. They developed their own unique game tactics, and slowly as their reputaion grew, so did their ranks.

New members means new ideas and also new abilities. it was not long before a clan website was created and a voice server thrown into the mix, as members joined that were capable of setting up these things. The military rank structure appeared to be paying off as their numbers grew to enormous size, and they were still able to remain organized and structured. The rank system combined with their game tactics allowed them to be deadly in competition, as many clans they faced were not as well organised and many fell victim to defeat. In time, [LRRP] was running 3 game servers of their own which were constantly running at peak, and recruiting had reached an all time high.

New members means new ideas and also new abilities, but in some cases, it also means unrest, depending on the personalities and attitudes of the members. After a while, serveral began to get disgruntled. They did not want to have to answer to anyone, they had their own view of how things should go, they wanted to do things their own way irregardless of how the clan operated as a whole. They began to undermine the strucure, creating further unrest and uncertainty in the background, chipping away at the heart of what was [LRRP]. Secret meetings were held, recruiting was done and eventually a mutiny was staged with a big chunk of the clan breaking off on their own. The Admins who defected that owned and shared the [LRRP] ventrilo and website locked the rest out and it was in this way, =NACF= was born.

The remaining core of [LRRP] remained undaunted. They were a close knit bunch and Slimer was determined as ever. Combined with members like Cleanjoe, N’StAG8R, Patton, Al's Dad, Masher, and Rfox, they set out to rebuild the division. They had learned much over the months and a new website, ventrillo, and game server were up and running in no time. They formed up and pounded the game server night after night, recruiting as they could, spreading the word that [LRRP] was still very much alive. A great war between the two now rival clans ensued, a war of words both in forums and on the game servers, a long war. It was around this time that members like Rezination, Assassin, Attackmagnet, Pappie, Tigress and Agents joined the fray. The clan war lasted for nearly a year, it was bitter, and trying at times. [LRRP] members were forbidden from directly antagonizing =NACF=, however their members made numerous attempts to sabotage and destroy the new growth of the clan both in the forums and on the game servers. In the end, the rank structure of [LRRP] proved to be solid and held fast as =NACF= disintegrated into a mess of confusion, anarchy and dissent caused by it's own members, and the clan eventually folded.

About this time [LRRP] was looking to new horizons. Battlefield Vietnam was coming out and the game structure seemed a good fit for the clan structure. A division was setup headed by Attackmagnet, joined by Lunchbox, Lonewolf, Norris, and Postal. At first all seemed to be going well. Recruiting was good, and the numbers grew on a steady basis for a while, but problems were encountered when going into competition. The new game was alot to handle for many of the members. Most were used to set tactics and relative order, BFV however, while utilizing tactics as a whole, required more on the fly thinking. The demands of the game itself on the machine, due to the high resources it used, also posed a problem. Many members were due for an upgrade, but not yet ready, and encountered problems during game play which limited their enjoyment. Mechanics were also quite vastly different from MOHAA and many people had trouble switching from one style of play to the other. The clan as a whole, realized they were not ready to undertake the steps to make this division grow, and ulimately, it was put on hold. They refocused on MOHAA and the numbers continued to grow solidly up into their second year of operation.

During their third year of operation, [LRRP] tried out a few other games on the market such as UT2004, Medal of Valor, Call of Duty, and also ran a Nascar 2003 server. Nascar took off like a rocket!! Members were constantly painting new cars, a season was setup utilizing virtual damage and virtual money. Competition was fast and fierce, much fun was had both in game and on ventrillo, although trying the odd night as many found out they were poor losers lol. A full season was run, however the game was scrapped as it proved to be too demanding of a commitment for time, and many were not able to compete as often as had originally been anticipated.

A Call of Duty division sprang up in the middle of things headed by Leadshower and Stick, but never totally got off the ground as [LRRP] really was firtst and foremost a MOHAA clan. The next game to surface on the horizon was Battlefield2, and based on our experience with BFV, the division decided to give it a shot. Attackmagnet was once again called upon to get things rolling, and proceeded to build the new division. Old BFV members resurfaced and [LRRP] was off and running. Joined by new members such as Eatthat308, Crawleysnipe, Mudasi, Slater, Shortman, Ghost of Dimebag, Spritz, Willie and others too numerous to mention, and armed with a ranked server, the division EXPLODED.

Recruiting reached a new high with 2 ranked BF2 servers, as well as the MOHAA server running at full capacity non stop. Member additions such as Stoney, Optic Reaper, and a host of Hondurans helped to fill out the ranks and their numbers peaked well over 180 for a period of time. Things ran pretty smooth for quite some time, and eventually another game appeared on the horizon in the form of Guild Wars. GoA. Slimer was the first to try out this MMORPG and immediately fell in love with it. It wasn't long before a few other members joined the bandwagon after his incessant prodding.

It was in this third year that the clan experienced another split. One of the BF2 division teams had fought themselves to the top of the TWL ladder. New growth within the clan was causing problems with member placement and it's physical size was also causing alot of extra workload for the officers. A decision to split up the team in order to spread out more experienced members within our less experienced teams was received with ill favor.
The team as a whole requested to be removed from the division and set out to form a new clan in order to keep itself intact. The parting was on good terms and as such [TFD] was formed and continues to be a growing force in BF2 to this day.

After the split, BF2 was restructured and members filled in to replace those that were lost. The ladder teams contiued their competition, and rose once again within the TWL rankings. Shortman, Emerica Skater, and Kerfeld proved to be more than a match for any team in the 2 vs 2 chopper battles and dominated the top rung for quite some time. MOHAA and Guild Wars carried on as normal, and the clan once again settled down into a normal routine.

Time passed and as they always do, things changed in various peoples lives that ended up having a severe impact within the day to day operations of [LRRP]. The core of the clan remained relatively strong, but decreasing attendance by some of the key admins due to outside commitments, was starting to take it's toll. The clan had grown to an incredible size and small cliques began forming here and there within each gaming division. It's founder was seldom online enough to oversee the main operations, Officers struggled to maintain structure and balance but did not have enough individual control to make some of the necessary changes, without approval from the founder. Things were not often addressed in due course, changes were slow to happen, and feelings of unrest and frustration began to build within the clan. To make matters worse, members' server dues were not being paid on time, and the monthly bill, along with ventrillo and the website was starting to fall behind. Many of the officers and certain members had been filling in the voids with donations above the call, but could not continue for much longer. The clans numbers began to decrease at a steady rate as more and more members left to seek participation elsewhere.

Finally after much ado, an admin meeting was called and the decision was made to scrap the servers altogether. A clan wide meeting was called and options discussed at length. The end result was the folding of the MOHAA division, one that had lasted for so long over 4 years as it were, and the backbone of the clan. The BF2 division split in two with several members heading off to other clans, and a few of the original core sticking it out on public servers. They exhisted this way for some time, but members eventually dwindled off to other clans over the months and the division was folded, thus ending LRRP.

Freindships forged in the clan were strong and lived on, some of the admin's, Attackmagnet, Assassin, Cleanjoe and N'StaG8R stayed in contact with one another over the next year or so. N’StaG8R picked up Call of Duty 4, MADE Cleanjoe play the game and he loved it. Then Assassin, Attackmagnet, and others and quickly the word spred, it seemed after playing the game that the fire for gaming that once was the life blood of LRRP was back. The core members met on ventrillo and decided this was the game to build a new clan around, they all missed the brotherhood and freindships that they experienced in LRRP, and wanted to create a clan the represented that. After all, online gaming is, ...well, just that, a game, what makes it fun and keeps you coming back day after day, night after night is the people you play with, people you want to spend your time with, and play a game with, people you can call freinds, after all, when you spend your time online, you want to be.......................
